China is considered sufficiently prepared to withstand the consequences of a possible blockade of the Strait of Hormuz by the United States.

Modern.az reports with reference to foreign media that before the war, China received approximately 14 percent of its imported oil from Saudi Arabia, 11 percent from Iran, and 29 percent from other Middle Eastern countries.

At the same time, Russia accounted for 20 percent of oil imported to China, and the remaining 26 percent was supplied from other regions of the world. Despite the war, Iranian oil supplies to China continued. This factor has made China one of the least affected countries among Asian countries by the processes.

In addition, China has accumulated more than 1 billion barrels of crude oil, forming the world's largest strategic oil reserve in the last decade. As a result, even a complete cessation of Iranian supplies for two months could reduce China's emergency reserves by only about 10 percent.
