The state flag of Turkey was burned in Yerevan during a march held in connection with the anniversary of the so-called “Armenian genocide”.

Modern.az reports with reference to Armenian media that the country's Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan condemned the incident. The burning of the flag by the march participants also caused wide discussions on social networks. According to the Prime Minister's press secretary Nazeli Baghdasaryan, Pashinyan considers this step irresponsible and unacceptable.

"The burning of the flag of an internationally recognized state, especially a neighboring country, cannot be evaluated otherwise by the head of state. This is clearly provocative behavior aimed at increasing tension," Baghdasaryan emphasized, expressing Pashinyan's position.
