“The US policy of a naval blockade against Iran will increase the price of oil to $140 per barrel.”
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament and head of the delegation in talks with the US.
“This is one of the useless recommendations the US administration receives from individuals like Scott Bessent. They promote a blockade policy against Iran and have already driven oil prices above $120. The next stop is $140,” Ghalibaf wrote on the social network X.
He added that the US problem “is not in theory, but in its way of thinking.”
