The VIII European Political Community Summit, dedicated to the topic "Building the Future: Unity and Stability in Europe", has started in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex.

Modern.az reports that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan arrived at the venue of the event and welcomed the participants.

It should be noted that leaders of European countries, high-ranking officials and heads of international organizations are participating in the Summit. The European Political Community platform brings together leaders from approximately 50 countries in total.

António Costa and Ursula von der Leyen are also participating in the event. It should be recalled that the first summit of the European Political Community was held on October 6, 2022, in Prague.

In the meetings to be held today and tomorrow, the parties will discuss issues related to expanding bilateral cooperation, regional security, energy, transport, digital technologies, and infrastructure connections.

According to the information, the talks will also focus on global challenges in the context of the situation around Ukraine and the ongoing crisis in the Middle East. A joint statement is planned to be adopted and a number of cooperation documents are to be signed at the end of the Summit.
