For the first time in many years, the parade in Moscow will be held without military equipment, demonstrating that Russia under Vladimir Putin is not as strong as it once was.
Modern.az reports that Zelensky spoke about this during his speech at the opening ceremony of the 8th European Political Community Summit in Yerevan.
“Russia has announced a parade on May 9, but there will be no military equipment in this parade. If this is true, it is the first time in many years that they cannot display weapons at a parade. Ukrainian drones can also fly in this parade,” Zelensky said.
He noted that the upcoming summer months will be decisive in terms of the Kremlin's future steps:
“This summer will be the period when Vladimir Putin will decide what to do next – whether to expand the war or prefer diplomatic means. The Kremlin leader must move towards diplomacy. Russia's weakening shows the importance of continuing international sanctions against it.”
