Attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces targeting the civilian population of Russia could lead to more severe consequences.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the Russian State Duma, during his speech at the plenary session of the parliament.
According to Volodin, the situation could lead to the Russian army using weapons that "will leave no trace of anyone":
"All this can reach a stage where we use weapons that will leave no trace of anyone. But the situation should not be brought to this point," he said.
It should be recalled that the Russian Ministry of Defense issued a statement on May 25, announcing that systematic strikes would be carried out on military facilities and decision-making centers in Kyiv in response to Ukraine's attack in Starobelsk.
