Talks between the US and Iran are expected to resume on July 11, after the multi-day funeral ceremonies of Iran's late supreme leader Ali Khamenei conclude.
Modern.az reports that, according to Al Arabiya TV, the new round of talks is planned to discuss a number of key issues, including sanctions imposed on Tehran, Iran's frozen assets, as well as the country's nuclear program.
The last round of indirect technical consultations between the parties was held on Wednesday in Doha. US President Donald Trump described those talks as "very successful."
At the same time, the Iranian side announced that an agreement had been reached on the partial release of billions of dollars in frozen funds. However, according to reports, US officials deny this.
The talks follow a memorandum of understanding signed by the US and Iran two weeks ago. That memorandum provides for a 60-day period to reach a final agreement on Iran's nuclear program.
