In Russia, President Vladimir Putin's trust and approval rating decreased again in the week from June 29 to July 5.

Modern.az reports that this was stated in a new survey by the All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM).

According to the survey, the share of those who approve of Putin's activities decreased from 66.9 percent in the previous week to 66 percent. This is the second consecutive week that the indicator has decreased.

The level of trust in the president has also been declining for the second week. Thus, this indicator fell from 73.3 percent in the previous week to 72.3 percent. It is noted that a week before that, the level of trust was 76.7 percent.

VTsIOM stated that the survey was conducted with a mixed methodology. Since the beginning of May, the center has changed its methodology and started conducting face-to-face interviews with respondents, in addition to telephone surveys.

The publication "Agentstvo", referring to the data of the Public Opinion Foundation, writes that for the majority of Russians, the main events of the week were gasoline shortages and rising fuel prices.
