A good meeting was held between Iran and high-level FIFA officials in Turkey.
Modern.az reports that Ismail Bagai, spokesman for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said this while commenting on the allegations that the US did not issue visas to some football players of the Iranian national team.
According to him, FIFA has guaranteed that all rules will be followed by the host country.
"Iran has been guaranteed that all rules will be implemented by the host," Bagai said.
He noted that decisions regarding the participation of the Iranian national team in the World Football Championship were made by the Iranian Ministry of Sports and the Iranian Football Federation based on various evaluations.
Bagai added that issuing visas for the national team and technical staff is the obligation of the host countries according to FIFA rules.(APA)
