In January-February 2026, 5,250 marriages and 3,376 divorces were registered by the district (city) registration departments of the Ministry of Justice.
Modern.az reports this with reference to the publication of the State Statistics Committee reflecting the macroeconomic indicators of the country's economic and social development in January-March.
Compared to the corresponding period of 2025, the number of marriages per 1000 people decreased from 4.7 to 3.2, and the number of divorces decreased from 2.1 to 2.0.
