More than eighty-five thousand Azerbaijanis have returned to the Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur regions, and are currently living, working, studying, and building new lives for themselves in these areas. The right of every person to housing and the process of rebuilding these regions are rapidly continuing.
Modern.az reports that these words were said by Assistant to the President – Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev during his speech at the panel meeting titled "Housing in Global Center Coalitions".
According to him, Azerbaijan is fully ready to learn from the best practices of other countries, as well as to share its unique experience in post-conflict recovery and reconstruction, as well as the challenges it has faced, with the international community. It is with this in mind that our country is one of the most suitable venues to host the World Urban Forum.
“At a time when new wars and conflicts are flaring up in various parts of the world, including our region, and cities and human settlements are being destroyed before our eyes, Azerbaijan is ready to both learn and share its realities and experience with the world in such catastrophic conditions for humanity," the Assistant to the President noted.
