Based on the results of this year's admission to higher education institutions, the youngest applicant to become a student is 16 years old.

According to the State Examination Center, Mammadli Gulshan Rashad gizi was admitted to the Dentistry specialty of Nakhchivan State University with 621.2 points on a state order for full-time education.

Modern.az contacted 16-year-old Gulshan Mammadli to learn about her impressions of the admission results and her future plans.

Gulshan Mammadli stated that her interest in medicine arose in her childhood. Although she initially wanted to be a pediatrician, over time she became interested in various fields of medicine and consequently chose dentistry.

"I wanted to be a doctor since childhood. I used to think about becoming a pediatrician. As I grew up, I saw that there are many fields of medicine, and each has its own unique depth. Dentistry became my destiny. Now I want to make the most of this opportunity," she said.

The youngest student also noted that she plans to continue her education abroad in the future:

"After graduating from university, I want to develop myself abroad, and then return to my country."

Gulshan Mammadli said that the preparation process for the entrance exam was intensive. According to her, she prepared with a tutor in addition to school lessons:

"It varied by day. Sometimes I studied for three hours, sometimes five or six, even seven hours. I studied whenever I found time in the morning and evening. In total, I spent an average of five to six hours a day preparing."

Gulshan, who lives in Baku, stated that she also listed Azerbaijan Medical University among her choices, but based on the admission results, she became a student of Nakhchivan State University. She emphasized that her family's support played an important role in her decision to study in Nakhchivan.

"Of course, I also included Azerbaijan Medical University in my choices. Nakhchivan was my destiny. My parents support me a lot. I don't want to miss this chance either. The main thing is that I will study in the specialty I chose - in the field of dentistry," Gulshan Mammadli added.
