The ban on the use of mobile phones in schools in Great Britain is planned to come into legal force.
Modern.az reports with reference to “The Independent” that the proposal on this issue will be put to a vote in the House of Lords today. The government intends to officially legalize the mobile phone ban by amending the “Children's Welfare and Schools” law.
A representative of the Ministry of Education stated that this change will form the legal basis of the rules already applied in schools.
The statement from the Ministry also noted that mobile phones have no place in schools and most schools have already banned them.
This change elevates existing rules to legal status and gives legal force to the practice already implemented by schools. It is reported that the new decision is a continuation of the steps taken to strengthen control mechanisms.
