Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov commented on the detention of former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan.
Modern.az reports that Peskov said in Moscow that they hope that Armenia's internal political processes will be carried out in accordance with the country's legislation.
"One can only hope that all ongoing processes will be carried out in strict accordance with the law and that the rights of all participants in the political process in the republic will be respected," the Kremlin spokesman said.
It should be noted that processes are underway in Armenia regarding former President Robert Kocharyan and his son Sedrak Kocharyan within the framework of a criminal case related to the embezzlement of state property. Kocharyan was previously hospitalized.
