The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran issued a statement regarding the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, stating that full control over the strait is in Iran's hands.
Modern.az reports that the IRGC's statement claimed that there were no military vessels belonging to the opposing side left in the Gulf, and that they had retreated at least 400 kilometers.
According to the IRGC, certain agreements have been reached with Oman regarding the waters of the Strait of Hormuz and the revenues obtained.
It was stated that Iran is ready to open the Strait of Hormuz within certain frameworks if the US accepts Tehran's conditions and returns to the memorandum of understanding.
The IRGC noted that if the US does not accept these conditions, the strait will remain completely closed.
The Iranian side's statement did not disclose further details about the specific conditions of the memorandum or the framework within which the strait could be opened.
