The multifunctional tourism complex "Majara Residence" located on Hormuz Island has once again come into the spotlight amid increasing tensions in the region.
Modern.az reports that the project was developed by "ZAV Architects".
The island, located in the strategically important Strait of Hormuz, has long been known as both a key point for oil shipments and an area with high risks of military confrontation.
It is in these circumstances that the "Majara Residence" project offers a tourism and community-based development model as an alternative to illegal oil activities. The complex of colorful domes, built with local materials and "superadobe" technology, is presented as an example for both social and economic change.
It should be noted that the project was previously awarded within the framework of the Aga Khan Award for Architecture.
