Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a phone conversation with United States President Donald Trump.
Modern.az reports that the Communications Department of the Turkish Presidential Administration issued a statement about this.
During the conversation, Erdogan expressed support and solidarity to Trump regarding the attempted attack at the White House Correspondents' Dinner in Washington.
The Turkish leader stated that he considers what happened a heinous act directed against democracy and freedom of the press, and wished a speedy recovery to the injured security officer.
