The Kaluga District Court of Russia has ordered the arrest of a 41-year-old man for two months. He is accused of the murder of Russian functional all-around champion Dmitry Isaev.

“The court decided to choose a pre-trial detention measure for a period of 2 months,” the judge said.
It is noted that the accused will remain in custody until July 6, 2026. The accused and the defense side requested the court to choose house arrest as a pre-trial detention measure. The accused fully admitted the charge.
Russian functional all-around champion Dmitry Isaev was shot in Kaluga on the night of May 7. After being wounded, doctors tried to save him, but the athlete died in the intensive care unit. The person suspected of the murder has been detained and a criminal case has been opened under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of Russia (murder).
