Donald Trump has traveled to China for a summit with Xi Jinping.
Modern.az reports with reference to foreign media that this is the first visit of the US President to China in nine years.
Analysts do not expect major breakthroughs in the talks between the two leaders, but some "successes" may be possible - for example, the extension of the trade truce agreement signed between Beijing and Washington in October 2025.
China is expected to announce significant new purchases of American products - beef, poultry, etc. In addition, a contract for the supply of approximately 500 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft to China may be announced.
In turn, China will seek a softening of US restrictions on the supply of semiconductors and equipment for their production.
Trump and Xi also plan to discuss the war in the Middle East.
