A batch of strawberries exported from Armenia to Russia was returned via the Bagratashen border crossing point.
Modern.az reports that Garnik Danielyan, a deputy of the “Armenia” faction in the Armenian parliament, informed about this.
According to the deputy, the return of the product caused serious concern among Armenian truck drivers and entrepreneurs.
Danielyan stated that the phytosanitary service prohibited the export due to the detection of an excessive and unauthorized substance in the product.
It should be recalled that Russia had previously imposed restrictions on some products imported from Armenia. “Rospotrebnadzor” had suspended the sale of some alcoholic beverages produced in Armenia due to violations found during inspections.
In addition, “Rosselkhoznadzor” announced a temporary restriction on the import of flowers from Armenia, as well as the suspension of the import of all batches of “Jermuk” mineral water.
