Ali Akbar Velayati, advisor to Iran's supreme leader on international relations and former foreign minister, stated that Iran's “red lines” are clear and this time agreements cannot be secured by signatures alone. He added that the concrete guarantee of the agreement is the Strait of Hormuz.

Modern.az reports that Velayati said the following in a statement shared on his social media account:

“History shows that all aggressors who came with the desire for domination - from Alexander to Genghis Khan and Trump - have melted away and disappeared within Iran's rich civilization.”

He also stated:

“Being a nation is not something that can be bought or rented with oil dollars; it is a rooted and civilization-based identity.”

Emphasizing that Iran's “red lines” are precise, Velayati added:

“This time, papers and signatures are not a guarantee. The concrete guarantee of the agreement's continuity is the Strait of Hormuz. Geography does not lie, and the final judge is the agreement on paper.”
