Lusine Avakyan, a voter who cast her ballot in the 2026 parliamentary elections in Armenia, has filed a lawsuit against Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

Modern.az reports that "a1plus.am" published this information.

According to the information, the reason for the lawsuit was Pashinyan's statement on June 11, 2026. In that speech, the Prime Minister said:

"The 'Civil Contract' Party won 100 percent of the votes completely naturally, while other political forces obtained 100 percent of the votes through voter bribery."

Lusine Avakyan stated that she voted for one of the opposition political forces in the parliamentary elections. According to her, Pashinyan's statement indirectly refers to her as well and does not reflect the truth, also damaging her honor, dignity, and business reputation.

The lawsuit requests the court to demand Nikol Pashinyan to publicly retract the information he spread about Avakyan, which is considered defamation, within 5 working days.

In addition, the plaintiff demands 3 million drams in compensation from Pashinyan for the damages caused by defamation. If the claim is satisfied, the pre-paid 230 thousand drams state fee is also demanded to be collected from the defendant.

According to the information, the lawsuit has been submitted to the proceedings of Judge Naira Avetisyan of the Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan. However, it is not yet known whether the case has been accepted for court proceedings.
