The public transport network plan for Khankendi city has been prepared, and routes on the new route network are already being put into operation.
Modern.az reports that AYNA issued a statement about this.
It was stated that the new route network will connect all important points of the city, ensuring uninterrupted and quality transport service for residents.
“The intra-city bus routes that will operate in Khankendi are as follows:
Bus number 1 “Karabakh University Clinic – Khankendi Sewing Factory”;
Bus number 2 “Karkijahan settlement – Railway and Bus Station complex”;
Bus number 3 will operate on the routes “Karabakh University Clinic – 1st circle”.
A total of 62 stop points have been identified along the route lines and equipped with appropriate signs. Passenger transportation on these routes will be carried out by environmentally friendly electric buses belonging to “BakuBus” LLC. Taking into account the current demand of the population in Khankendi, in the initial stage, a total of 10 vehicles will serve passengers at intervals of 14-15 minutes. Payments on buses will be made cashless. For this purpose, appropriate equipment has been installed in the vehicles. Passengers can make their payments with a physical “BakiKart”, QR-ticket, as well as any bank card and mobile payment systems (“Google Pay” and “Apple Pay”) via NFC technology. The balance of physical cards can be topped up via payment terminals available in Khankendi city. It should be noted that the movement of buses will be monitored in real-time through AYNA’s monitoring center. This project serves to form a modern and environmentally friendly transport infrastructure in the region. Let us remind you that the buses of “BakuBus” LLC, which meet modern standards, currently serve passengers in the capital Baku and Ganja cities,” the statement said.
