In the US, over one million residents were left without power due to a snowstorm, and 11 people have died.
Modern.az reports that power outages primarily affected the southern states of the country. Reportedly, over 330 thousand customers in Tennessee, over 160 thousand in Mississippi, over 135 thousand in Louisiana, and over 90 thousand in Texas were left without electricity.
Heavy snowfall occurred in Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Due to snow and ice, airlines nationwide canceled over 11 thousand flights.
Eleven people have died as a result of the storm. Authorities in Tennessee, Kansas, New York, Texas, Louisiana, and Michigan reported fatalities related to the weather conditions.
