Russia's Domodedovo airport is massively laying off its employees.
Modern.az reports that one day after Domodedovo airport was sold at auction, its CEO, Andrey Ivanov, announced staff reductions in the Domodedovo Commercial Services division, which manages contracts with airlines and other partners.
Approximately 130 people work in this division. Some of them have been offered voluntary resignations. According to the publication's sources, others have been offered changes in their workplaces, but with reduced salaries.
Similar proposals regarding reductions have previously been received by employees and managers of several other airport companies, including "Domodedovo Catering". Thus, the total number of affected employees is approximately 100 people.
Domodedovo management stated that "management changes are being implemented to increase the efficiency of interactions with airlines at the airport".
Domodedovo assured that the changes will not affect employees who ensure the comfortable and safe operation of the airport as an industrial complex, nor those involved in attracting and working with airlines.
