Modern.az reports with reference to foreign media that Moscow's Meshchan District Court has issued an in absentia arrest warrant for Alexander Ter-Avanesov, former Kostroma senator and ex-member of the local Duma.
He is accused of fraud related to the embezzlement of funds from the Russian Ministry of Defense. It is reported that the conversation is about the appropriation of more than 4 billion rubles.
According to the information, Ter-Avanesov was put on the federal wanted list in absentia at the end of 2025.
