In accordance with the agreements reached within the framework of the normalization of Armenia-Turkey relations, a meeting of the Armenia-Turkey joint working group on the restoration and operation of the Gyumri-Kars railway was held in Kars on April 28.
Modern.az reports that this was stated in the information of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.
The parties emphasized the importance of the speedy commissioning of the Gyumri-Kars railway in the context of expanding transport infrastructure in the region.
It should be recalled that in the autumn of 2025, Yerevan and Ankara agreed to conduct a technical study on the restoration and commissioning of the Gyumri-Kars railway line and power transmission lines.
