US President Donald Trump said he does not support Taiwan's initiatives to declare independence.
Modern.az reports that in an interview with "Fox News", he explained the US policy on Taiwan as follows: "I don't want someone to declare independence and then for us to travel 15,000 kilometers to fight a war with them."
According to the US President, Washington does not support Taiwan's declaration of independence with the thought that "the US will support us anyway."
