"I have instructed an unprecedented strike on Iran if an assassination attempt is made against me."
Modern.az reports that US President Donald Trump said these words in an interview with "The New York Post" newspaper.
"They have been targeting me for a long time. This is the situation we are facing. If something happens to me, an unprecedented strike will be launched against Iran," the US President emphasized.
He also commented on reports that Israel had provided intelligence to the US that Iran was preparing a new assassination plot against him.
"No. Israel has not discovered such a thing. I have already been at the top of Iran's target list for a long time. That's life. I hope you will remember me if I am gone," Trump added.
