Iranian officials have announced that ship passage through the Strait of Hormuz will not be allowed until the situation in the region normalizes, and transit has been completely suspended.
Modern.az reports that the Iranian Persian Gulf Supervision Authority (PGSA) and the Naval Forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (SEPAH) have issued a statement regarding this.
The statement published by the Authority on the social network "X" indicated that due to the recent illegal actions of the US armed forces in the region, passage through the Strait of Hormuz is currently not possible.
It was noted that after the situation stabilizes and calm is restored in the region, applications will be reviewed in order of priority and appropriate permits will be issued.
SEPAH's Naval Forces, however, stated that the Strait of Hormuz has been closed since last night and passage will not be possible until the Iranian authorities decide to reopen it.
The statement also emphasized that any vessel attempting to pass through the strait will put itself at risk.
