Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky awarded French President Emmanuel Macron with the state order "Freedom".
Modern.az reports that the Ukrainian leader announced this on social networks following the results of his meeting with his French counterpart in Paris.
According to him, relations between the two countries reached a strategic level thanks to Macron's personal efforts.
Zelensky also stated that the parties discussed the situation at the front, Ukraine's needs to strengthen air defense, as well as priorities on the eve of meetings of missile defense and volunteer coalitions.
"We discussed in detail the situation at the front and Ukraine's needs in protecting citizens from Russian attacks. It is important to strengthen Ukraine, strengthen our air defense system and accelerate the development of the European missile defense system. France has the necessary capabilities and advanced technologies that can help in this. We will work in this direction together with our allies," he added.
