Yemen-based Houthis announced that they carried out a missile attack on Abha airport in southern Saudi Arabia.
Modern.az reports with reference to foreign media that the Houthis considered this step as a response to the bombing of Sanaa airport.
Saudi Arabian officials, however, announced that the missiles were neutralized by air defense systems.
According to the information, this is the first such attack carried out by the Houthis against Saudi Arabia since 2022. The incident has raised concerns about the fate of the unofficial ceasefire that has been in effect for the past four years and has brought to the agenda the risk of a resurgence of the Yemeni conflict.
