President Ilham Aliyev sent a letter to the President of the Swiss Confederation, Guy Parmelin.
Modern.az reports that the letter states:
"Dear Mr. President,
The news of the death of many people as a result of the fire that occurred in Crans-Montana deeply saddened us.
In connection with this tragedy, on my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I extend my deepest condolences to You, to the families and loved ones of those who died, and to the entire Swiss people, and wish a speedy recovery to the injured".
