In 2025, the global Jewish population was 15.8 million.

Modern.az reports that the Central Bureau of Statistics of Israel released information on this matter.

According to calculations, 45 percent of the world's Jews live in Israel, and 40 percent live in the USA.

7.2 million Jews live in Israel, 6.3 million in the USA, 436 thousand in France, 407 thousand in Canada, 315 thousand in the United Kingdom, 168 thousand in Argentina, 126 thousand in Germany, 120 thousand in Russia, and 117 thousand in Australia.

Although the number of Jews living in Azerbaijan was not mentioned in the information, according to the last population census held in 2019, it was noted that 5,094 citizens of Jewish origin lived in our country. However, Israeli sources show a higher number of Azerbaijani Jews. For example, Urf Unkauf, a representative of the Baku International Multiculturalism Center, noted in 2023 that approximately 30,000 Jews live in Azerbaijan. He noted that approximately 20,000 Mountain Jews, 8,000 Ashkenazi Jews, and 2,000 Georgian Sephardic Jews live in the country. According to him, Azerbaijan's Jewish population is concentrated in the capital Baku and the Red Town in Guba. Other small Jewish communities exist in Ganja, the country's second-largest city, as well as in Sumgayit and Oghuz.
