Journalists will no longer be able to move around the Pentagon without being accompanied by department employees.

Modern.az reports that "ABC News" has released information about this.

According to the information, the decision was made by the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia.

In March, a court in the District of Columbia granted a lawsuit filed by "The New York Times" (NYT). The department was then ordered to reinstate the permits of seven of the newspaper's reporters and lift the accreditation restrictions imposed in October 2025. In response, the Pentagon ordered the immediate closure of the media workspace, which had long been located at its headquarters. In addition, department management restricted the entry of unaccompanied journalists.

It should be noted that on October 16, 2025, the "Associated Press" agency reported that dozens of journalists decided to hand over their press permits to the Pentagon due to the restrictions imposed on the media by Pentagon Secretary Pete Hegseth.
