The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has received a notification from Russia that agreements on the supply of gas, oil, and diamonds may be canceled.
Modern.az reports that Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, made a statement about this.
According to her, if Armenia joins the process of European Union membership in the future, Moscow may denounce existing agreements with Yerevan in the field of energy and precious stones.
Zakharova stated that the discussion concerns the gas, oil products, and diamond supply agreements currently in force between Russia and Armenia. She noted that Armenia's integration into the European Union could affect existing economic relations with Moscow.
The Russian official emphasized that an official warning regarding this issue has been sent to the Armenian side, informing them about possible consequences.
