The landslide in the Aghsu pass area has reactivated. Recent intensive rainfall observed in the mountainous and foothill regions of the country has caused damage to the section of the Baku-Shamakhi-Yevlakh highway passing through the Aghsu pass. As a result of the landslide at the 147th kilometer of the road, deep cracks and depressions have formed in the asphalt pavement.
Modern.az reports that the landslide was mainly recorded in one lane of the road. As a result, the protective strip and shoulder of the road have become completely unusable. Considering the danger, a part of the two-lane highway has been closed, and traffic has been temporarily organized on one lane.
Warning signs have been placed in the area, and the dangerous section has been marked with special tapes. Traffic is controlled by the road police, and drivers are advised to minimize their speed and be careful.
It should be recalled that a landslide also occurred in the mentioned area in the spring months of last year. (AzerTac)
