One-time financial assistance has been paid to participants of World War II in 1941–1945 and other persons stipulated in the order of President Ilham Aliyev dated April 24, 2026.
The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population informed Modern.az about this.
It was stated that, in accordance with the order, each participant of that war was paid 2750 manats of one-time financial assistance in connection with the 81st anniversary of the Victory over fascism.
Widows of soldiers who died in World War II or died later, persons awarded with orders and medals for their selfless work on the home front during that period, employees of special units who carried out tasks for the benefit of the army and navy within the rear borders of the battle fronts or operational zones of the fighting fleets during World War II, persons awarded with the relevant medal and breastplate for the defense of the city of Leningrad during World War II, as well as each participant of the siege of the city of Leningrad, were paid 1500 manats of one-time financial assistance.
The order covered a total of about 2 thousand people, 13 of whom were participants of World War II, and one-time financial assistance was transferred to their bank accounts.
