The number of men who have used their right to paid paternity leave in Azerbaijan due to the birth of a child has been announced. Within the framework of the new rule applied after the recent changes, hundreds of employees have already been granted 14 days of paid leave.
In response to a query from Modern.az, the State Labor Inspectorate Service stated that a total of 346 employees have been granted 14 calendar days of paid paternity leave by 164 employers due to the birth of their child.
It was noted that this leave covers the periods before and after the child's birth.
The order for granting paid paternity leave to an employee is formalized electronically by the employer in the "Labor and Employment" subsystem of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.
