The countries, universities, and specializations most frequently chosen by Azerbaijanis studying abroad within the framework of the State Program have been announced.
In response to a query from Modern.az, the State Program Management Group stated that the higher education institutions where participants studied the most within the framework of the State Program for 2019–2023 are Istanbul University, University of Strasbourg, Montpellier University, University of Glasgow, University of Aberdeen, University of Bologna, University of Bristol, University of Halle–Wittenberg, University of Birmingham, and Swansea University.
In the State Program for 2022–2028, the top ten include UCL (University College London), Bilkent University, University of Edinburgh, Koç University, University of Sheffield, Imperial College London, University of Manchester, Columbia University, University of Glasgow, and University of Hong Kong.
According to the information, in the State Program for 2019–2023, candidates mostly chose specializations in economics and management, natural sciences, humanities and social sciences, health and welfare, as well as technical and technological fields.
In the State Program for 2022–2028, information technology, engineering, finance, public administration, and economics were the most preferred specializations.
It was stated that all 20 graduates who completed their education within the framework of the State Program for 2019–2023 are currently working in higher education institutions in Azerbaijan.
As of today, 634 people have officially gained graduate status within the framework of the State Program for 2022–2028. Of these, 448 are currently employed.
The institution also noted that a separate statistical indicator regarding "the percentage of those who returned to Azerbaijan and started working" was not provided in the query.
