Within the framework of cooperation between the Ministry of Science and Education and "Microsoft", work on the formation of a single digital ecosystem in higher education institutions is being continued.
According to information provided to Modern.az by the Ministry, joint activities serve to expand access to modern digital tools for the faculty, students, and administrative staff of universities, and to implement digital solutions in the teaching and management process.
It was stated that within the framework of a centralized approach, a total of 20 higher education institutions are planned to be provided with licensed "Microsoft" tools: "Currently, all technical and organizational work has been completed at Azerbaijan State University of Economics, Azerbaijan Technical University, Karabakh University, Ganja State University, Sumgait State University, Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Azerbaijan University of Languages, Azerbaijan University of Technology, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University and Mingachevir State University, and "Microsoft" solutions have been put into use. In other higher education institutions, the connection process is being continued in stages.
AI-based solutions offered on the "Microsoft" platform, especially the "Copilot" tool, create additional opportunities for teachers to prepare lesson plans, create teaching materials, evaluate, and organize other academic activities more efficiently. The application of artificial intelligence tools contributes to optimizing the workload of teachers and increasing the quality of the teaching process."
It was noted that this program implemented between the Ministry of Science and Education and "Microsoft" is of great importance in terms of accelerating digital transformation in the higher education system, integrating innovative technologies into the educational environment, and developing human capital with digital skills.
