The issue of recognizing Palestine will soon become one of the main topics on the country's political agenda.
Modern.az reports that these words were stated by Belgian Foreign Minister Maxim Prevot. According to him, this issue is already being actively discussed at the government level.
The minister noted that the decision is expected to be reviewed at the meeting of the Council of Ministers on July 10.
Prevot stated that the acceleration of the process was prompted by Hamas's dismantling of its administrative structures in the Gaza Strip. In his opinion, this step has given new dynamics to the political situation in the region and to discussions on the recognition of the Palestinian state.
