The number of Azerbaijanis who lost their lives in the Russia-Ukraine war continues to increase.
Modern.az has obtained the identities of 10 more Azerbaijani-born servicemen who died in battles in the direction of Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk and Kharkiv regions of Ukraine, fighting in the ranks of the Russian army in February-March of this year.
2 of those who died in battles with the Ukrainian army are citizens of Azerbaijan, and 8 are citizens of Russia.

Yahyayev Ali Magomed oglu — born on 05.03.1980, lived in Liman settlement of Astrakhan region.
Huseynov Ilkin Hasan oglu — born on 24.01.1985, lived in Arkhangelsk.
Shirinov Rovshan Firuddin oglu — born on 15.09.1974, lived in Surgut, Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug.
Marshalinski Tofigbey Rovshan oglu — born on 11.03.1992, lived in Lyambir village of the Republic of Mordovia.
Gasimov Elshan Iman oglu — born on 14.02.1996, lived in Megion, Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug.
Guliyev Emil Javanshir oglu — born on 19.05.1989, lived in Bryansk.
Gafarov Emil Etibar oglu — born on 09.01.2005, served in the 6th separate motorized rifle brigade.
Mammadov Elshan Asgar oglu — born on 22.01.1970, lived in Arbuzovo settlement of Leningrad region.
Nurullayev Timur Ahmad oglu — born on 05.12.1993, lived in Novocherkassk, Rostov region.
It should be noted that hundreds of our compatriots have died since the beginning of the Russia-Ukraine war.
It should be recalled that the Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan issued a warning on December 29, 2025, stating that participation in armed conflicts carried out on the territory of foreign countries creates criminal liability according to the legislation.
