The "112" hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) received information about a fire in the dormitory of the Republican Special Boarding School No. 3 for Children with Disabilities, located on Gara Garayev Avenue, Nizami district, Baku.
This was reported to Modern.az by the Press Service of the MES.
It was noted that forces of the State Fire Protection and Special Risky Rescue Services of the MES were immediately dispatched to the area in connection with the information.
Thanks to the rapid intervention of the MES forces, the fire that occurred in the corridor of the first floor of the three-story dormitory building was extinguished in a short time, preventing its spread, including to the building.
As a result of the fire, clothing items accumulated in the corridor of the building burned in an area of 5 sq.m., 1 plastic window frame and a cabinet burned, and 1 cabinet and the stairwell were deformed in an area of 5 sq.m.
The dormitory building was protected from the fire.
No injuries were reported.
