From May 6, admission of students to the first grades of general education institutions for the 2026-2027 academic year will begin.
The State Agency for Preschool and General Education informed Modern.az about this.
It was stated that the admission process will be carried out through the www.mektebeqebul.edu.az portal. Electronic admission of children to the first grade covers general education institutions in all cities and regions of the country.
It should be noted that this year, approximately 81,000 children from the Azerbaijani section were automatically transferred from the pre-school preparation group to the first grade: "It is brought to attention that it is mandatory for children to have an identity card during registration for the first grade. Ensuring accessibility for every parent in the admission of children to school is one of the main goals."
