Representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan visited Khojaly on May 1. The delegation is led by Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev. The guests were met by Elchin Yusubov, the special representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the city of Khankendi, Aghdara and Khojaly regions.
According to information provided to Modern.az by the Public Relations Department of the Restoration, Construction and Management Service in Khankendi city, Aghdara and Khojaly regions, the guests first visited the Khojaly Genocide Memorial complex located in Khojaly city.
E. Yusubov provided information to the guests about the construction of the Memorial complex, the ongoing landscaping and construction works, and also gave detailed information to foreign diplomats about the aggressive policy carried out by Armenians in 1992 and the Khojaly massacre.
Then, the guests were given extensive information about the restoration of infrastructure in the liberated territories, the reconstruction of settlements, and the implementation of the Great Return program, which ensures the return of the population to their native lands.
