Azerbaijan has significantly strengthened its international position in the field of cybersecurity. Our country advanced 21 places in the National Cybersecurity Index (NCSI), rising from 52nd to 31st place.
The Electronic Security Service informed Modern.az about this.
According to the information, our country's indicator in the international index prepared by the “e-Governance Academy” increased from 75.83 points to 83.33 points.
NCSI covers more than 100 countries and is considered one of the most reliable international measurement tools in the field of cybersecurity. The index evaluates not only technical capabilities, but also the legal framework, governance capacity, and national preparedness level. The NCSI's assessment across 12 main areas and 49 indicators shows that Azerbaijan has made significant progress in rapid response to cyber threats, national policy formulation, institutional capabilities, and international cooperation.
This success was achieved as a result of the purposeful state policy implemented in Azerbaijan. Strategic decisions aimed at strengthening cybersecurity, digital economy, and e-governance have significantly increased our country's competitiveness in the international arena.
Also, state investments in the field of cybersecurity, attention paid to specialist training, and comprehensive measures aimed at protecting critical information infrastructure have fundamentally changed the country's position in this field. In recent years, consistent steps taken in the direction of improving national legislation, creating specialized institutions, and expanding international partnerships are also among the factors that conditioned this success.
