What is the maximum speed of trains? - Statement from ADY

The maximum speed limit on the existing railway infrastructure in Azerbaijan is 140 km/h.

Modern.az reports that Azer Farajov, head of the Passenger Transportation Department of "Azerbaijan Railways" CJSC, stated this in his statement to media representatives at the opening ceremony of the Kurdamir Railway Station.

According to him, trains currently move at this speed limit, and this indicator is considered maximum for ADY:

"No additional work is currently planned to increase the speed of trains," the official said.
