Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan clarified issues related to the possible development of economic ties and product exchange with Azerbaijan.
Modern.az reports that Pashinyan, answering journalists' questions about Shahin Mustafayev's meeting with businessmen yesterday, stated that until now, business representatives have mainly exchanged product lists through governments. However, currently, this process is moving to the stage of direct business relations:
“Now we are connecting interested entrepreneurs with each other so that they can directly exchange lists. The government can perform this function for a certain period, but at a later stage, businessmen must work directly.”
The Prime Minister noted that it has not yet been precisely determined which products can be exported from Armenia to Azerbaijan, and it is not appropriate to announce a specific list at this stage. According to him, factors such as price, logistics, time, and volume affect the final decisions:
“Currently, this is only at the level of initial interest. It would not be right to disclose unfinalized information. When real exports occur, this will also be reflected in official statistics.”
Pashinyan also emphasized that although the expansion of economic ties between Armenia and Azerbaijan may be possible in the future, currently the product range is limited and the process may develop in stages.
