As we reported, the procedure for interviewing students who want to receive education in another language based on state education standards in state general education institutions has been approved.
According to Modern.az, the rules also reflect the criteria on which the interview for admission to the 1st grade will be evaluated.
Thus, during the interview for admission to the 1st grade, the child's level of knowledge of the language of instruction will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
The child should listen to and perform simple tasks, listen to a short text (consisting of 3-5 sentences) and answer questions, listen carefully to the question and give an appropriate answer.
The child should introduce himself, talk about his family and homeland, and construct a simple sentence based on a picture.
The child should correctly name objects, recognize general concepts such as animal, plant, fruit and vegetable, and profession names, use words indicating characteristics (name colors, know words indicating size and quality), and describe events occurring in the surrounding world and seasonal changes in nature.
The child should form words from sounds, recognize letters by their shape (uppercase and lowercase), associate the sound heard in speech with the corresponding letter, and pronounce words clearly.
It should be noted that the total scores given by the Commission members are summed up and divided by the number of commission members to determine the final score. A student who scores 12 or more points in the interview is considered to have successfully passed the interview. The result of the interview is sent to the electronic cabinet within 5 working days from the date it was held.
